What time can we check in?
Check in: 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
Check out: 10:00am
If you would like an early check-in or late check-out please reach out to us!
Do you have hot tubs?
Our Scandinavian style wood fired hot tubs are exclusive to couples tents only.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we are dog friendly and allow 1 well behaved dog per tent. Although we cannot allow dangerous breeds (Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, and XL Bully).
Are there toilets and showers on site?
Of course! There is a luxury bathroom block on site with proper flushing toilets and rainfall showers. Bathrooms all have hairdryers and luxury toiletries too. There is also an outdoor shower if you’re feeling brave!
Do you supply towels?
Yes, fluffy cotton bath towels are supplied in every tent. Couples tents enjoy bathrobes and slippers too.
Do tents have log burning stoves?
Our couples tents have a permanent log during stove as standard. All other tents can book a stove (subject to availability) at the time of booking (recommended Oct-Apr). The only exception is the Emperor tent (for 6) as there is not room to accommodate a stove safely but there is still an outdoor fire pit to keep you toasty…
Do you supply firewood?
Yes. We give you an initial supply of logs and kindling. That’s enough for a few fires in the log burner or fire pit depending on how long they are burning for of course… or it is enough to get the wood fired hot tub up to temperature.
Can I bring my own firewood?
No. For safety and environmental considerations only timber supplied or purchased onsite may be used in the fire pit, stove or hot tub.
What are the cooking facilities?
Your private outdoor kitchen and tent has everything you need to cook, eat and drink… pots, pans, kettle, knives, cutlery, plates etc. There is a gas ring stove, and you can also cook on the fire pit hot plate which is fun. You don’t need to bring anything.
Can I bring my own BBQ?
No. For fire safety reasons we do not allow portable BBQs. You have two options above for cooking, the fire pit effectively being a BBQ but in a safe, controlled space.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Both inside and outside the tent smoking is not allowed. We have lots of wood, trees, flowers and grass which makes smoking dangerous. We do have a designated smoking area in the carpark, away from the site itself.
Can I erect a tent or gazebo?
No. Broadleaves is carefully planned out for aesthetics, views, wildlife and enjoyment of all guests so we cannot allow any other structures to be erected on site.
Is there a fridge?
There is a large fridge and a freezer in the reception for guest use.
The tents are off-grid so we provide a cool box in your outdoor kitchen (cool blocks are available for guest use in the reception freezer).
Are there lights in the tents?
Yes. There are also solar lights around the site, although these go off at approx 12 midnight for ecological reasons. You can use your bedside lanterns outside around the site or bring a torch is you prefer.
Are there covered areas?
Yes. Each tent has a covered outdoor kitchen, under which it is possible to relocate your table and benches if required. The tents themselves also have shade porch area which can seat two with ease.
Can I charge gadgets on site?
Yes. Power packs are available at the time of booking (subject to availability) for £6/night. There is also power on the outside of the bathroom building.
How far is the carpark and reception from my tent?
We keep Broadleaves as natural as possible and so do not allow cars onsite. Our carpark and reception are approx 150m walk away from the tents.
